On 14th January, 2017, Ebong Alap collaborated with Sandipta Chatterjee Memorial Committee and School of Media, Communication and Culture for Fourth Sandipta Chatterjee Memorial Lecture delivered by Shujaat Bukhari and presided over by Samik Bandyopadhyay at Jadavpur University. The programme also featured the launch of Ebong Alap's new book Biponno Somoy: Bornobaad, Jatiyotabaad, Baakswadhinota O Ajker Bharat.

Ebong Alap facilitated the two-day gender workshop at Midnapore College (Autonomous) on 23-24 March 2017 organized by Women's Cell of the college. 64 students from various departments participated in the first phase of the year-long programme on Gender Sensitization in the campus. This was the first of its kind workshop under any college in Vidyasagar University.

Ebong Alap and Swayam organized a one day workshop on 'Understanding Gender' with students from four schools at Bali island, Sundarban on 8th September in association with Disha. The workshop took place at Bali Dhanamani Model High School. The workshop consisted of several interactive sessions including a PowerPoint presentation on how gender plays a role in determining presence in public spaces.

Workshop with civic volunteers of Gosaba police station, Sunderban, organised by Ebong Alap, Swayam and Sunderban Bijaynagar Disha on 18 December 2018. This was an effort towards orienting young men working as civic police volunteers on forms of violence against women and the silence and insensitivity surrounding it.
