On 14th January, 2017, Ebong Alap collaborated with Sandipta Chatterjee Memorial Committee and School of Media, Communication and Culture for Fourth Sandipta Chatterjee Memorial Lecture delivered by Shujaat Bukhari and presided over by Samik Bandyopadhyay at Jadavpur University. The programme also featured the launch of Ebong Alap's new book Biponno Somoy: Bornobaad, Jatiyotabaad, Baakswadhinota O Ajker Bharat.

Ebong Alap & Disha organized joint public meeting on prevention of early marriage with members of local club Netaji Sangha, Birajnagar, Sundarban on 26th February, 2017.

Ebong Alap facilitated gender training session with school teachers of various districts of West Bengal as part of KRP Training on Inclusive Education organized by RMSA at Satyajit Ray Bhavan, Rajathat in January-February, 2017.

Ebong Alap facilitated the two-day gender workshop at Midnapore College (Autonomous) on 23-24 March 2017 organized by Women's Cell of the college. 64 students from various departments participated in the first phase of the year-long programme on Gender Sensitization in the campus. This was the first of its kind workshop under any college in Vidyasagar University.

Ebong Alap and Disha jointly celebrated International Women's Day on 31st March 2017 in a fun-filled way by breaking gender stereotypes through games and storytelling in Bali Basic Junior School, Sundarban.

Ebong Alap organized a one-day national symposium on ‘Mapping Critical Material Around Gender for Use of Schools in West Bengal’ on 25 April 2017 at Jadunath Bhavan Museum and Resource Centre in Kolkata.

On 5th May 2017, Ebong Alap and Disha organized a one day workshop with students from three different schools at Bijaynagar Adarsha Bidyamandir at Bali, Sundarban on gendered dimensions of early marriage.

Ebong Alap and Swayam organized a one day workshop on 'Understanding Gender' with students from four schools at Bali island, Sundarban on 8th September in association with Disha. The workshop took place at Bali Dhanamani Model High School. The workshop consisted of several interactive sessions including a PowerPoint presentation on how gender plays a role in determining presence in public spaces.

Members of Sunderban Bijaynagar Disha felicitating four elderly women on  17 December 2017. These women were interviewed as part of the community oral history project initiated by Ebong Alap and documented through the 'Sunderbaney Meyera ' series in the blog Ekhan Alap. 

Workshop with civic volunteers of Gosaba police station, Sunderban, organised by Ebong Alap, Swayam and Sunderban Bijaynagar Disha on 18 December 2018. This was an effort towards orienting young men working as  civic police volunteers on forms of violence against women and the silence and insensitivity surrounding it.

Ebong Alap, Association SNAP and Abhijan Publishers jointly organized a daylong programme consisting a heritage walk, lunch and interactive session with local people at Metiabruz on 21 January 2018. Teachers, students, government employees, social workers, activists and local people participated in the programme. Click here to know more.
